As the article highlights, impressive progress in renewable energy has also been made in Bulgaria, Denmark, Estonia, Iceland, and Sweden. Granted, like Costa Rica, these countries have small populations, little heavy industry, and particular geographic advantages (Denmark is windy, Iceland has geothermal vents, etc.) but they represent great case studies and incubators for ideas.
